A good friend figured some tools from Harbor Freight would be just the thing for me as I get started setting up my property. And boy was he right. I already had a couple of battery chargers, so I didn't need another one of those.

These are what he got for me:

I didn't use the chainsaw, but I did get a chance to use the pole saw. I cut a lot of dead branches and then cleared some additional areas to make it easier to drive onto the property. The pole saw worked very well. It allowed me to reach all the areas without a ladder that with a normal chainsaw, I would have have spent twice the time due to climbing up and down the ladder and moving it from place to place.

I had never used any type of chainsaw before so I definitely read the manual, kept it well oiled and kept the chain at the correct tension. It almost made all that work downright fun.
