I spoke with my contractor today. The entire parcel is fenced with barbed wire and the gate is installed. The county has conducted all their inspections. I'm hoping I'll be getting some official documents stating that the septic system is approved and ready for use.

The only work left for this part of the project for contractor to do is to fill in all the inspection "points" or areas the county needed to do their work.

My contractor has had some medical work performed and will need until close to the end of this month to complete his recuperation. Once he is allowed to return to work, he and I will walk the property and decide where we will place the driveway and RV and vehicle parking areas. Then he will grade those areas and lay down gravel. That final part of the job should only take a week or two.

That should pretty much do it for the preliminary "prep" work. Then I'll see about getting a storage shed and insulating it. Once that is done, I can move out of my apartment and live full time on the property.
